Filmmaker Milap Zaveri Bids Adieu To Twitter Due To 'Trolls And Negativity'; Says, 'Am A Very Positive Person'
It goes without saying that social media, in today's time, has become a lot more brutal with millions and billions of people sharing their opinions - some funny, some criticising, some insulting, some personal or some defaming - mostly for the celebrities. Well, things have only escalated post the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput with netizens across slamming the likes of various stars. Following the same, a streak of B-townies have bid farewell to the micro-blogging site of Twitter. The list includes Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal, Saqib Saleem, Mudassar Khan and Huma Qureshi among others. Now, it appears that filmmaker Milap Zaveri, too, has exited Twitter immediately after pouring his heart out.

In his last tweet, the Satyameva Jayate filmmaker wrote how during his initial days on Twitter, it was a great place to share one's thoughts and feelings. However, as time passed, Twitter, according to him, has become a toxic atmosphere full of negativity and trolls. He has therefore decided to delete his account. "When I joined Twitter it was a great place to post one's thoughts, feelings, musings. To connect with other people. Appreciate good work. Follow latest news happenings. But off late it's a place full of trolls and negativity. But I'm a v positive person hence I bid adieu," read his tweet.

Soon after, Milap Zaveri deactivated his account as we couldn't get through his profile. He shared a screenshot of the same on his Instagram account.

Take a look:

Sonakshi Sinha, while quitting Twitter, had shared, "The first step to protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity. And no where more of that than twitter these days! Chalo, im off -deactivating my account. Bye guys, peace out," with a caption that read, "Aag lage basti mein...mein apni masti mein! Bye Twitter."
